merry christmas eve everyone!!
are you all tracking santa, as he cruises throughout the world, delivering toys?? you can track santa on NORAD. this is their 50th anniversary of tracking the jolly old elf on his journey! go check it out! :)
well....its down to the wire folks. if you haven't bought it, it more than likely isn't getting bought. they can do WITHOUT. its ok.
i had a most somber afternoon today. coming home from picking up my eldest from work....we passed a terrible car accident that had just happened. and of course, the mommy in me stops to see what i can do.
pinned in the car is a young lady not much older than my jenny. looking terribly frightened, asking about her father, not concerned with herself in the least. and she was the one worse off.... let's suffice it to say that i hope she makes it through the night. and as i stood there, amongst other concerned citizens, i tried my best to keep her calm & to get her to stop moving and touching her face.
just relax. breathe sweetie. the ambulance is on its way. they'll take good care of you in a few seconds. i know it hurts. just listen to me sweetie. your dad is fine. he's right over there. he's with some other nice people. please try to relax honey. everything will be alright. anything broke, they can fix. you're still beautiful. everything will be fine. you'll see. just lay your head on this towel. its ok. i know it hurts honey. let the nice men help you. its ok. you'll see your dad soon sweetie. i know baby. its ok. its ok.
after finally extracting her from her car, they raced her off. all i know is her name was crystal.
please say a gentle prayer for her tonight.
this is for her....
O Holy Night
J.S.Dwight & A.C.Adam, 19th Century
O holy night,
the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of
our dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world
in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared
and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope,
the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks
a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees,
O hear the angel voices!
O night divine,
O night when Christ was born!
O night divine, O night,
O night divine!
Led by the light of Faith
serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts
by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star
sweetly gleaming,
Here came the wise men
from Orient land.
The King of Kings lay thus
in lowly manger,
In all our trials
born to be our Friend!
He knows our need,
To our weakness no stranger;
Behold your King!
Before the lowly bend!
Behold your King! your King!
before Him bend.
Truly He taught us
to love one another;
His law is love and
His gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break
for the slave is our brother
And in His name
all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in
grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us
praise His holy name!
Christ is the Lord,
Oh praise His name forever,
His pow'r and glory evermore proclaim
His pow'r and glory
evermore proclaim.
